Before the Siege

Few days before a siege, many peasants of the region around the citadel are seeking shelter inside the wall of the citadel

First assaults

Under the cover of Hand-cannons the besiegers are trying to storm the citadel, however the defences are strong and efficient.

Cannoning the walls

After many assaults, the besiegers placed in battery their mouths of fire, to bomb the citadel walls.
However still firing rocks instead of full metal munitions, in that time.

Final attack

A massive break on the citadel walls, by the besiegers cannons, allows them to try a final attack, the defenders are giving all they have to defend their home.

Victory...

The defenders prevailed, the besiegers left the place, victory for Death, and somehow the citadel too.
